After Raya, Can I still in my shape?

Can I eat my way to longer, leaner shape?

Well, tomorrow we will celebrate our hari Raya Aidil Fitri. A lot of foods will be served at festive days. But, we must remember to stay healthy. Just eat the right food!

  1. Make sure your diet is low in fat.  Aim for maximum of 40g a day and ensure the majority of it is good fat from sorces such as nuts, fish and olive oil.
  2. Eat plenty of protein, like lean meat, fish, lentils and nuts. Protein aids muscle growth and will help keep your feeling full after meal.
  3. Have small amount of low GI carbohydrates for long lasting energy to fule your workouts. This includes wholegrain bread, low fat dairy, fruit and brown rice.
  4. Avoid all high kilojoule foods, such as butter, dressing, take aways and sweets. These only give you more kjs, which you will to work even harder to burn off.
  5. Moderation is the key to healthy, athletic body. Don't deny yourself the occasional treat such as a pice of chocolate, or glass of wine but keep it occasional not daily.
  6. Hungry between meals? snack on veggies such as cherry tomatoes, carrots and celery!.
