The facts about Vitamin C

VITAMIN C
Vitamin C is a well-known antioxidant. It is necessary for the formation of collagen and tissue repair. So, many women love vitamin C and think that a larger dose vitamin C is a better for their beauty. They even bravely asked Vitamin C injection to beautician to white their skin! I hope this information make you take vitamin C carefully.
Vitamin C deficiency may lead to scurvy with the following symptoms: swollen and bleeding gums, loose teeth, delayed healing of wounds, capillary hemorrhages, petechial spots on skin and poor formation of bones!
Vitamin C 500mg is recommended daily allowance for adults and children 4 years and above (US RDA:US).
Although Vitamin C is not store in the body and the extra will be excreted in the urine, do not take more than the recommended daily dosage. Why? Because a high dose of vitamin C will be aroused: diarrhea, redness of skin, headache, nausea and vomiting. If those still persist hurry up go to your doctor. Then, for patients with renal failure (or disease) there is a risk of stone forming in the urinary tract.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
As a doctor, I really care to give explanation to my clients. Vitamin C cannot take with these reagents: deferoxamine, barbiturates, primidone, salicylates, cellulose sodium phosphate and disulfiram.
HOW TO STORE VITAMIN C?
You must know that vitamin C is so sensitive to light and temperature more than 30 Celcius degree. So keep container tightly and it would be perfect, you just put the container inside the box or refrigerator.
