Well, tomorrow we will celebrate our hari Raya Aidil Fitri. A lot of foods will be served at festive days. But, we must remember to stay healthy. Just eat the right food!
- Make sure your diet is low in fat. Aim for maximum of 40g a day and ensure the majority of it is good fat from sorces such as nuts, fish and olive oil.
- Eat plenty of protein, like lean meat, fish, lentils and nuts. Protein aids muscle growth and will help keep your feeling full after meal.
- Have small amount of low GI carbohydrates for long lasting energy to fule your workouts. This includes wholegrain bread, low fat dairy, fruit and brown rice.
- Avoid all high kilojoule foods, such as butter, dressing, take aways and sweets. These only give you more kjs, which you will to work even harder to burn off.
- Moderation is the key to healthy, athletic body. Don't deny yourself the occasional treat such as a pice of chocolate, or glass of wine but keep it occasional not daily.
- Hungry between meals? snack on veggies such as cherry tomatoes, carrots and celery!.
